The central market is a unique construction of Valencian modernism. Construction began in 1914 and was completed in 1928. It is the reference point in Valencia, to be able to buy all kinds of food, mainly typical of this beautiful land. From fruits and vegetables, fish, all kinds of meats and sausages, cheeses, pickles and of course, great hams ... A must-see!
Built in 1840, this peculiar square is essential to visit. In it you can buy typical Valencian crafts and have an aperitif while enjoying its picturesque design. A nice place in the center of Valencia.
Valencia Cathedral. It dates from the year 1238. With a Gothic style and baroque, Romanesque and neoclassical accessories, it is the landmark of the city. In it is located the chapel of the Holy Chalice, and who knows if really, the mystery of the Holy Grail ... The Plaza de la Virgen de Valencia is one of the most relevant squares in the capital of Turia. The unique basilica of the Virgen de los Desamparados is located here, dating from the 15th century. Formerly it was called Plaza del a Seu or Plaza de la Catedral, since it is located next to it and from there we can contemplate the Miguelete. The Palace of the Generalitat is located in the west of the square and in front of it we find some beautiful gardens. This palace was built around the same time as the basilica. The Turia fountain is located in the middle of the square and is one of the most famous meeting points in the city.
On Thursday mornings at 12 noon, you can see the historic Tribunal de las Aguas, it is one of the oldest institutions and currently still has legal authority. They treat the problems that farmers have to give them a solution. It is interesting to visit it, since it is something that we can only enjoy in the city of Valencia.

It was the first declared National Historic-Artistic Monument in Valencia, by UNESCO. Construction began in 1942 and was completed in 1,548. In a Gothic and Renaissance style, in this beautiful place, merchants met there to do business with silk, at that time, a precious material and which had a great boom. It was a great Valencian industry until 1,700, and it never came back again. In it there is a beautiful chapel built in 1,486. And on the outside we find 28 gargoyles, which are worth observing for their curious shapes ... La Lonja is located just 300 meters from the MercatSuites apartments.
The Serrano towers are a Gothic marvel, which together with the Quart Towers, defended the city from wars, since they were the two fortified gates of the medieval city wall. They were built between 1,392 and 1,397. They can be visited and climbed to the top. From there we will be able to contemplate some wonderful views and if we look towards the inner part of the city we will see the entire Carmen neighborhood, the historic center ... Recommended!

Ágora is a large covered square designed by Santiago Calatrava and inaugurated in November 2009. Its architecture is striking, the trencadisc being the most peculiar of the building. It is a multicultural and functional space dedicated to the visitor´s rest in the City of Arts and Sciences. It is about 70 meters high and approximately 5000 m2. In it we can enjoy various sports competitions, the most common being the tennis open.
This unique building was the first open to the public in the City of Arts and Sciences of Valencia, on April 10, 1988. It is a building designed by Santiago Calatrava, it simulates the enormous eye of a human being and inside it houses a large room with a concave screen measuring 900 m² and 24.4 m in diameter. It has dimensions of 143,000 m2, and two concave screen rooms. Countless screenings are made in it that are worth going to see. It´s an attraction that never lets anyone down!
